THE URBAN HEAT ISLAND EFFECT

Dr Tim Ball from the International Climate Science Coalition writing at the website Canada Free Press highlights the many variables in temperature reporting.

"How much do calculations of global temperatures represent the real temperature of the Earth? Every day new stories appear about temperature records with errors or deliberate omissions. An important part of the debate is something called the Urban Heat Island Effect (UHIE)."

IS THE SCIENCE REALLY SETTLED ON CLIMATE CHANGE?

In a recent paper for the Science and Public Policy Institute, Lawrerence Solomon notes "There are now six separate investigations underway which have been spawned by the Climategate emails. One of those six is by the UK Met Office, which partnered with the Climatic Research Unit in producing the data sets."

Given the Met Office is now defending itself over the fudging of temperature datasets it is fair to ask - Is the science really settled?
