McKITRICK SUBMISSION TO REVIEW OF IPCC POLICY PROCEDURES
Professor Ross McKitrick from the University of Guelph in Ontario makes some interesting observations in his submission to the Inter-Academy Council Independent Review of the Policies and Procedures of the IPCC.
"That Lead Authors are able to insert evidence and rewrite the text after the close of review makes a mockery of the idea that the IPCC reports are peerreviewed, and undermines the claim that they contain the consensus of experts."

100% RENEWABLE ENERGY PIPEDREAM CRITIQUED
Beyond Zero Emissions, a not-for-profit group concerned about levels of atmospheric CO2 have produced an Energy Plan outlining a renewable energy future for Australia.
"The Zero Carbon Australia 2020 Stationary Energy Plan outlines a technically feasible and economically attractive way for Australia to transition to 100% renewable energy within ten
years" says BZE.

MAKING THINGS STILL MATTERS
Both Viv Forbes from the Carbon Sense Coalition and Dr Walter Starck, marine scientist from Queensland make similar points about the need to continue manufacturing and growing food, free from the red and green tape that strangles our economy and management of the environment.

VOTERS OBJECT TO PAYING FOR CLIMATE FIXES
Australian Financial Review journalist Mark Lawson notes in an article at Quadrant Online that Australian voters coping with increases in energy bills of up to 40 per cent in recent years [with little connection to climate policy] are baulking at the idea of further hikes in prices that will be a result of trying to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

NOAA'S MAGIC WAND WAVES AWAY 2000-2009 COOLING
Paul MacRae looks at the NOAA State of the Climate report at the Science & Public Policy Institute blog.
"The recent report by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration shows that surface temperatures have increased in the past decade. In fact, the NOAA report, “State of the Climate in 2009,” says 2000-2009 was 0.2 Fahrenheit (0.11 Celsius) warmer than the decade previous."
