MANKINDS INSIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON CLIMATE
A factual summary by Dr Jay Lehr, Science Director of the Heartland Institute of the compelling evidence that mankind has an insignificant impact on the climate of Planet Earth. Dr Lehr sums up the scientific evidence, then outlines the economic costs and the political consequences of actions currently being contemplated by the US and other Western governments.
He concludes: "The sanest course for us would be to gain what limited perspective we can (remembering the global cooling alarm of a generation ago) and proceed cautiously. SHODDY SCIENCE ON ANIMAL EMISSIONS
With government funded reports released today showing that primary producer income will fall between 9 and 15 per cent following the introduction of an emissions trading scheme it is surprising that farm groups have not been more vocal in their oppostiion. Certainly Viv Forbes, chairman of the Carbon Sense Coalition cannot understand why they have not been more vocal.
VITRIOLIC CLIMATE IN ACADEMIC HOTHOUSE
In a wonderful gesture of public spiritedness, seven academics who include three lead authors of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and a former director of the World Climate Research Program wrote to Australian power generating companies on April 29 instructing them to cease and desist creating electricity from coal writes Professor Ian Plimer in The Australian.
